About this Project

Thursday Night Junior Youth Club is a welcoming, centre-based open access youth provision for young people who want a safe place to spend their Thursday evenings. The club is designed to offer a positive environment where young people can relax, socialise, and take part in engaging activities that support their personal and social development.

Each Thursday, the club provides a consistent space for young people to build confidence, make new friends, and strengthen existing relationships. Through informal sessions, creative activities, games, and group opportunities, members are encouraged to try new experiences, get involved at their own pace, and feel a genuine sense of belonging.

The club is rooted in the values of inclusion, respect, and empowerment. We aim to make every young person feel valued and listened to, regardless of background, ability, or experience. Our approach is centred on creating a respectful atmosphere where young people can express themselves freely, take positive risks, and develop a stronger sense of independence.

Thursday Night Junior Youth Club also supports young people to build important life skills, including communication, teamwork, resilience, and decision-making. By offering regular, structured sessions in a supportive setting, the club helps young people grow in confidence while encouraging positive behaviour and healthy peer connections.

Safeguarding and wellbeing are a priority in everything we do. The club is committed to providing a secure and nurturing environment where young people can enjoy themselves, access trusted adults, and feel supported. We work to ensure that every session is well-run, inclusive, and responsive to the needs and interests of the group.

As a recurring weekly provision, Thursday Night Junior Youth Club offers young people a reliable place to connect, learn, and have fun. Whether they come to take part in activities, meet friends, or simply enjoy being part of a community, the club aims to create positive opportunities that make a real difference in young lives.
